Och här kan faktiskt lyssna på lite av skivans innehåll. Och i The Telegraph har den recenserats:
"Good timing, then, for this Bootleg Series box set of unreleased recordings centred on Self Portrait, but extending its parameters to include versions of tracks from Nashville Skyline and New Morning (1970). Stripped of their cheesy orchestration, even Marcus admits that some of these sessions were “very stark and arresting”. They certainly sharpen your ears, often sounding more sincere than the Dylan we know. On the traditional English folk ballad, Pretty Saro, his voice tracks desolate highs and lows of heartbreak like a lover’s eye, sweeping the contours of a barren landscape. There’s plenty for the Dylanologists too. The demo of Went to See the Gypsy – widely believed to be about Elvis – sees the King wishing Dylan well, rather than greeting him with the more ambiguous “well, well, well” of the finished version."
