Sir Andrew Green, chairman of the pressure group Migration Watch UK, said: “This census confirms the impact of mass immigration on our population.

“We now find that even the official numbers previously understated the scale of net migration by 14 per cent and even this does not account for the illegal immigrant population who would not complete the census form.

“Our population growth in the last decade was twice that of the previous decade. The latest projections show that immigration will account for two thirds of our population increase in the next 15 years.

“That is 5 million people and is the equivalent of the combined populations of Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow, Sheffield, Bradford, Manchester, Liverpool and Bristol. Nobody wants to see the population grow at this rate.”

Här några kommentarer från The Telegraphs läsare:

"Ahamdul'Allah! First we took Dewsbury and Oldham, then the Tower Hamlets, and soon we will have the majority"

"So much for democracy! Mass immigration was never mentioned in any Labour manifesto, poll after poll has shown that 85% of us never wanted it yet Blair and Brown have given us 3 and half million social misfits and call us racist if we oppose mass immigration and multi culturism."

"And still Blair and Brown escape prison...."

Och här några av The Guardians läsarkommentarer:

"The BBC reported this, this morning, with the words: "It is thought that the increase MAY be partially the result of immigration." Unbelievable! Of course, we all run the risk of 'racism' if we denounce these unsustainable increases in a tiny, already overcrowded set of islands whose infrastructure is already groaning at the seams and where unemployment and the cost of social welfare and health are rising too quickly for taxation to meet the cost. But it is quite clear the figures miss out many illegals who avoided filling out the census because of fear of being traced. There are also several million people who have 'left' the country to live abroad, but who remain dependent on the UK economy for both the costs of their pensions and health care (in the EU at least). These people of course disappear from the census figures too and I wonder if their cost to the economy is factored into the equations?"

"Another 'Flash' Communique from the 'Ministry Of The Bleedin Obvious'!"

"I dont recognise many cities anymore. Its not just physical features but values, traditions and behaviours that have changed - and i dpont see any evidence of a happier society if anything the opposite. 14 years of Labour government actually wiped out 1500 years of anglo-saxon Britain. Am stunned, saddened and very detached from society now."

Här följer statistiken för hela Black Country/ West Midlands. 2011 års folkmängd i jämförelse med 2001 års. Förändring 2001-2011i procent. Under varje ortsnamn följer 2011 års befolkning, därunder 2001 års, och sist ökningen i procent.
